We traveled out to Lizzie's parents house in Sugar Land to take her bridal portraits. This really gave a relaxed setting to play in and her puppy Lily was able to be there - need I say more? :) Lizzie is getting married in April, we can't wait to cover her wedding!
Andrea and Shay tied the knot on February 23, 2008. The ceremony and reception were held at the Crystal Ballroom downtown (in the old Rice Hotel). This fete was gorgeous down to the last detail. This couple is super sweet and we wish them the best in years to come. Mazel Tov!
We were recently requested by the Linbeck Group to photograph their president for an upcoming article in Society for Marketing Professional Services magazine. Several of our images were used throughout the October 2007 issue including the cover image of Linbeck President, Bill Scott.
Well the date finally came and Donna and Carl officially tied the knot on February 14, 2008. If you keep up with our blog, you will remember that we did two Trash the Dress sessions with Donna (one in Vegas!), a bridal session and another portrait session. She was putting together a book to give to Carl as a wedding present. Well the book and the wedding turned out wonderful. We wish you both a life filled with happiness and love.
Last Sunday, while we were at the Weddings in Houston Bridal Soiree, we were asked by another vendor (and recent bride) to go to Mardi Gras to Trash her Dress. Although David could not make it, Laura was definitely up for it. Laura met Summer there and they traipsed through the French Quarter, among all of the revelers, with camera in hand. We were also able to get Summer's new husband, Will to join in on the fun (and wear a suit to boot!) We had such a great time, met lots of interesting people and we hope got some great photos as well!
We recently covered the PeruPetro luncheon at the Petroleum Club downtown. The luncheon was held in conjunction with the NAPE expo. The expo is a marketplace for buying and selling oil and gas products and attracts something like 15,000 attendents each year. This was our second time covering the annual event.
Neighborhood Centers Inc. or NCI, held their Heart of Gold luncheon at the Hilton Americas hotel on Wednesday, February 6, and we were there to provide coverage. The event honored philanthropists Ginger and Jack Blanton and was MC'ed by Melanie Lawson. Every year NCI recognizes an individual or individuals who have created a lasting means of improving the lives of the citizens of our community. At the luncheon they presented the 2008 volunteer of the year award and the Alice Graham Baker Crusader award, among others.
On Tuesday we did engagement portraits for Alix and Don. They met at a friend's birthday party while attending Texas A&M. Don plays for the Detroit Lions. This was a great couple to work with and we cant wait to shoot their June 28th wedding in the Woodlands. Congratulations!!!
We were hired by Rob of Events in Bloom and Robert Shipman to take some photos of their fabulous treatment of the Hotel Icon Penthouse Suite. The suite was set up as a part of the MPI conference and they even had a band on their rooftop terrace.
Meeting Professionals International, or MPI, held their North American conference in Houston this year. We were there to get coverage of an event they held at the House of Dereon music center downtown hosted by the Hyatt Regency Houston. This is a really unique venue owned by the Knowles family. The venue is also office for Matthew and Tina Knowles and houses a huge collection of awards and trophies that their daughters' have won over the years (and I am not talking soccer trophies...). It was pretty amazing!
