We worked with Michelle in October at Paraiso Maravilla to create her bridal portraits. In order that Chad did not accidentally peak we have posted her images until after the wedding. Bouquet courtesy of Wedding Flowers by Lisa

We were sworn to secrecy and could not share these till after her big day. Her gorgeous Monique Lhuillier dress is a secret for Dan. Laura did an amazing job with Bevin for her bridal session at River Oaks Country Club. She wanted to really capture Bevin's playful and artistic spirit and used a combination of lenses, some home made and she also brought along her big old Crown graphic 4 x 5 camera for Bevin to play with since she is also a photographer. We had a lot of fun with these and cannot wait until the wedding!

We recently photographed Sarah Shipley's bridal portrait at a private home in Tanglewood. Sarah is such a charm to work with and a real trooper. Her Lazaro dress and flowers from Johnathan Andrew Sage are amazing. As her wedding was this last weekend we can now shar her images. Wedding day images should follow by the end of the week.

Recently David photographed Amy Spalding at her parent's home in Tanglewood for her bridal portraits. Amy was a pleasure to work with and her dress was amazing. The veil is actually her mother's and works so well with the dress. The bouquet was provided by Events in Bloom. We can now share these images as her wedding was this last weekend. Wedding day images should follow by the end of the week.

This past weekend Laura and her family went up to Krause Springs, outside of Austin to camp, meet up with some old and new friends and take a bunch of cool photos. Laura had been swimming at Krause Springs a few years back and had always wanted to do a more formal portrait session here because it is just full of natural beauty. She also had a crazy idea that she wanted a bride swinging on a rope swing there. So she called up her old room mate, Seasha McKay, and they agreed on a time and Seasha pulled out a dress or two from her arsenal. Seasha is also a part time wedding planner in Austin. She also does triathlons and is pretty darn fit (something needed for hanging out on a rope swing in a wet wedding dress that probably added an extra 30 or so pounds of weight!) So these are some of the photos they got through rain and water and lots of fun. Will have to post some more informal photos from the trip later as there are some really great ones of the kiddos too.
On another note, at this same location and on the very same rope swing David's brother broke his finger last year. Ouch!

We had such a great time doing Lauren Branch's bridals this past Thursday. She chose to have her portraits made at St. Paul's UMC, which is one of our favorite locations to work. It has this sort of old world feel to it and the light in the parlour can't be beat. Lauren had two looks that she wanted to incorporate, first with a cathedral length veil and then she also had a birdcage veil (which is the veil she will change into for the reception at the Hotel ZaZa). We can't wait for the wedding which is being planned by Bobbi Asarch, one of the best planners in the state! Flowers provided by Plants N' Petals

On Tuesday David got the opportunity of photographing Kellye Janik's bridal portrait at a family friend's home in the heart of River Oaks. The estate was fantastic and the weather even allowed for us to work outdoors towards the end. By request of the groom, her mother-in-law to be drove in his favorite hunting rifle to be included in a few images. Kellye's bouquet was provided by Wedding Flowers by Lisa.
Kellye's wedding is this June and will be held at Memorial Drive United Methodist Church with the reception following at The Houstonian.

David headed out to The Houstonian Monday for Jennifer Pfeil's bridal portrait session. We met Jennifer last summer when she was a bridesmaid for Alix Koetting-Muhlbach. Jen is such a gem and David had a great time working with her in the lovely grand lobby of the hotel. Check out the bottom of her shoes which are jeweled with the wedding date and a heart with her and Ryan's initials. We are covering her wedding this June at St Vincent de Paul and of course The Houstonian.
