This past Sunday we participated in the Weddings in Houston, Before You Say "I Do!" Bridal Soiree. We usually set up a table with prints and albums, but since this is the only show we usually do, we wanted to set up something a little special. We enlisted the help of Rob and Jesus from Events in Bloom. We figured that since they design some of the most awesome weddings and events in town, they would do a way better job of putting together a booth for us than we would!
We met so many awesome potential customers at the show, I cant wait to talk to them more in the near future about their weddings.
Also featured on this post are some of EIB's display as well as cakes by Bobbie's Cake Creations and a tablescape by Dream Bouquet that features white tulips, gladiolas and royal blue linens.

Last Friday was Madison's sweet 16 shebang and it was a LOT of fun! Madison is the daughter of Rebekah Graves of Dream Bouquet, so when she asked Laura to cover her daughter's goth themed, Rocky Horror tinged party, well she just could not resist as she knew it was going to certainly be unique. The party did not disappoint :)
Madison had unfortunately broken her ankle a week or so before the party, but no fear, mom had an idea to get the party started. First Maddie was carried into the party by two hunky boys on a palanquin to make her grand entrance. The guests then ate, danced and partied until it was time to cut the cake, provided by Edible Designs by Jessie, which was inspired by her gown and was amazing. Maddie then opened her moms gift, which was beautiful ring packaged in many silver boxes. The dancing was then interrupted by a surprise guest, a Dr. Frank-N-Furter impersonator (from Rocky Horror) in full drag. It really was quite a fun surprise for the kids who then broke into the time warp dance. Maddie was even able to join in on crutches. It really was a good time and Rebekah out did herself on the decorations!

David was on hand this past Wednesday to cover the NACE Wedding Trends 2009 Luncheon at the new House of Blues venue downtown. The theme for this year's event was Indian weddings and the vendors involved went all out! As one can expect with an Indian wedding, there were so many rich colors and textures in just about everything. The food and cakes were absolutely amazing as were the flowers, lighting, dancers and musicians involved. Radhika Day from Weddings in Houston was on hand to speak and offer her expertise in this specialized area. The board really pulled out all the stops for this one and the attendance was over 200 people!

Laura and I went down to Galveston with Amber to trash her dress. Amber was married in June and as she had no more immediate needs for her dress, she decided it would be fun to trash it and we were there to document the occasion. We started at the Railroad museum and ended at the beach.
Trash the Dress is growing into a world wide movement and we are always happy to accommodate our clients who might like this service. Not all sessions actually involve ruining the dress, in fact most can simply be dry cleaned after the session. We are currently putting together special Trash the Dress packages, so if you know of any brides who want to play in their dress for the day, give us a call! Photos by D. Jones Photography.
Special thanks go to Rebekah Johnson with Dream Bouquet for providing the wonderfully colorful fall bouquet.

Melissa and Jeff were married in the gorgeous Christ Church Cathedral in downtown Houston. They had a reception following at theCrystal Ballroom, which is upstairs from the Post Rice Lofts. It was such a lovely occasion and they were such a cute couple and a pleasure to work with. Photos by D. Jones Photography.
