Meghan + Matt wedding

Meghan and Matt were married this past Saturday at St. Anne's Catholic Church with an early evening reception following at River Oaks Country Club.

The bride wore her grandmother's dress (which her mother also wore on her wedding day) and altered it to update and fit herself. It really was gorgeous. Floral arrangements, bouquets and lounge furniture provided by Events in Bloom while the cakes were created by Who Made the Cake!

The couple first met while both were students at Episcopal High School, where Meghan now teaches Math, and they are still going strong!

Once again we have had to keep these under wraps until the wedding. While we had a few hurdles to cross during the session due to the club double booking bridal sessions and several other repairs that were going on simultaneously. We certainly made the best out of the situation and in the end it all worked out.

We photographed Meghan at River Oaks Country Club which is also where her reception is going to be held. She chose to wear her grandmother's gorgeous wedding gown which she lengthened slightly as well as altered the sleeves to better fit her style. Her bouquet was provided by Events in Bloom.

January 2010 Weddings in Houston Bridal Soiree

This past Sunday we participated in the Weddings in Houston, Before You Say "I Do!" Bridal Soiree. We usually set up a table with prints and albums, but since this is the only show we usually do, we wanted to set up something a little special. We enlisted the help of Rob and Jesus from Events in Bloom. We figured that since they design some of the most awesome weddings and events in town, they would do a way better job of putting together a booth for us than we would! We met so many awesome potential customers at the show, I cant wait to talk to them more in the near future about their weddings.

Also featured on this post are some of EIB's display as well as cakes by Bobbie's Cake Creations and a tablescape by Dream Bouquet that features white tulips, gladiolas and royal blue linens.

Events in Bloom - River Oaks Country Club

As we had a rare Sunday wedding this last weekend, Rob with Events in Bloom contacted David to make arrangements to capture room shots for a wedding reception on Saturday at River Oaks Country Club. 

Events In Bloom - Houston Bridal Extravaganza January 2010

Laura got to go play at the Bridal Extravaganza and take photos for Rob and jesus over at Events in Bloom. These guys always create the most amazing displays! This time around they had got a whole lot of new furniture and linens and of course they were showcasing the truly innovative floral design. New this year were some mirrored display cubes, swanky whiter leather chairs, some 60's inspired wire barstools, curved suede banquets and some swanky new lounge furniture, not to mention the sparkly silver ball chandeliers. So awesome!

Events in Bloom - Houston Country Club

Immediately after finishing Kat & Johnny's wedding, David headed on over to Houston Country Club to honor a prior request by Rob with Events in Bloom to capture the ballroom before the guests were let in. This had to be a record time for getting the room shots and details. It certainly looked like a lovely wedding and David was glad to actually be home before midnight on a Saturday, in fact he was back at the studio and unloaded by 9:15pm.

Last weekend Rob Smith asked David to work his magic and document his latest wedding reception decor at River Oaks Country Club. While David actually had a weekend off he certainly did not mind getting to play and capture yet another fantastic Events In Bloom creation. It never ceases to amaze us as to what they come up with next. The custom candle screens, glass pedestals and their fashionable lounge furniture always add a fun touch. Also included is a beautiful bride's cake by Cake Creations that Rob decorated with hydrangeas and orchids.

Events In Bloom - Houston Bridal Extravaganza - July 2009

This past weekend was the Bridal Extravaganza at the George R. Brown Convention Center in downtown Houston. Two full days of all you can look at to do with weddings and anything and everything else you never thought you would need but now must have! Laura had never been before, so it was quite the show. In any case, she was asked to take some photos for Events in Bloom of their booth and as per usual they did it up in grand style!
