Erica + Jermaine family

Once again we had the pleasure of working with the Erica and Jermaine's family for their annual portrait session at Hermann Park. 

Allison's family portrait session

Laura has known Allison for a quite a long while, since they were in high school. They got reacquainted through Facebook, which is an awesome time-sucker/resource :)

Since Allison and her family now live in Dallas they had been planning and corresponding about when and where to do a family portrait. We decided to go to Hermann Park as our location because there is just so much there to see and do (and photograph).

Allison did a great job getting every ones outfits together and coordinated, which I think can really add to a session. Not to put too much into it, but when planning a family portrait, it is sometimes a good idea to also keep in mind where it is going to hang and how this should effect clothing choices. For example, if your house has a lot of dramatic, deep colors maybe pastels should not be the choice :)

Erin + Hans engagement

David also got to photograph at Hermann Park this past week for the engagement session for Erin and Hans. We are covering their wedding this October. We were fortunate enough that the heat and humidity had receded a bit so it was a little more mild and pleasant for the outdoor session.

Susan + Eric engagement

As we are covering Susan's wedding in the fall we arranged to have her portraits done before it got too hot outside. Fortunately after all of the rains and floods we were fortunate enough to have the weather hold out for the session at Hermann Park . Susan and Eric are getting married this fall at St Paul's United Methodist Church and Hotel Icon. Both are in the medical field which is also where they met each other.

Carter's portrait

We always love reconnecting with our past clients and especially the little ones. We covered Megan and Wesley's wedding back in 2005. Last week David photographed their 3 year old son, Carter, at Hermann Park and the weather worked out wonderfully for us. Boys will be boys and Carter loved running, jumping over the puddles and throwing rocks. 

Caitlin + Jamey engagement

David met Caitlin and Jamey at Hermann Park for their engagement portraits yesterday. A little chaos always makes for an interesting start. We braved the congestion and the lack of available parking spaces due to it being Spring Break for many not to mention it was St Patrick's Day as well. The couple is really sweet and met while attending Texas A&M University. They are getting married this July at St Paul's United Methodist Church with a reception to follow at the Crystal Ballroom.

Laura + Alex engagement session

Laura & Alex are getting married on March 7th in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and our own Laura Burlton captured some amazing engagement photos before the wedding to get to know each other a little better first. Originally Laura was going to meet them in Galveston, but in the end we decided to stay a little closer to home. Their wedding will be at the Paradisus Palma Real Resort. They are such a fun couple and we can't wait to show you the wedding! 

Amy + Christopher engagement session

We recently photographed the engagement portraits for Amy and Christopher. I had a great time playing with the two of them and look forward to working with them again in February at their wedding.

Katherine + Ian engagement

Katherine and Ian are getting married this Saturday on a private ranch in Navasota, TX. They are a truly lovely couple and were so much fun to photograph. You can really tell that they have a great time together and there is a lot of love there. Isn't that what marriage is supposed to be all about? We can't wait to cover their wedding as I am sure it is going to be as extraordinary and special as they are.

Melissa + Jared engagement

First let me say that Melissa and Jared are such a gorgeous couple it would be impossible to get a bad photo of them. They are getting married on May 31 at the Bentwater Yacht Club. We can't wait to cover their wedding!
