Kellye and Lance celebrated their wedding on June 13, 2009 at Memorial Drive UMC with a reception that followed at the Houstonian Grande Ballroom. Alia with Belle of the Ball finalized and coordinated the event wonderfully. Be sure to check out the detail in the deer themed groom's cake from Susie's Cakes. We had a wonderful time at this wedding. The band Blind Date, in from Austin, was very versatile and kept everyone dancing to anything from Sinatra to Journey to Thriller and beyond. In fact, Kellye also did a rousing dance to "Baby Got Back" that just confirmed what an awesome bride she is. We love our clients!

Jennifer and Ryan married on June 6, 2009. The ceremony was held at St. Vincent de Paul which is where the groom's grandparents were also married by the same priest. The reception followed in the Grande Ballroom at The Houstonian. There were lots of great little details for this wedding. The bride had Pave crystals decorating the bottom of her shoes with the wedding date and hearts. Later in the evening Jennifer she slipped on some fantastic red boots for the garter and bouquet toss. Ryan also wore custom boots made for the wedding which displayed his family ranch brand. There was a massive candy bar, filled with all sorts of white candy, laid out on top of a huge mirror. And did we mention the cakes? The bride's cake itself was a beautifully elegant square, white, four tiered cake from Susie's Cakes. However the grooms cake was really special, it was a miniature of his family's ranch in Beaumont, complete with pond, cows and tractors. After the couple returns from their honeymoon in the Bahamas they will reside in Austin.

David headed out to The Houstonian Monday for Jennifer's bridal portrait session. We met Jennifer last summer when she was a bridesmaid for Alix Koetting-Muhlbach. Jen is such a gem and David had a great time working with her in the lovely grand lobby of the hotel. Check out the bottom of her shoes which are jeweled with the wedding date and a heart with her and Ryan's initials. We are covering her wedding this June at St Vincent de Paul and of course The Houstonian.
Laura was asked by Rob at Events in Bloom to go over and take some photos of his floral artistry this past Saturday. So after working at the Jonakin wedding, she headed over to the Houstonian for some detail shots before that wedding party arrived. We love taking photos for Rob, he always has such awesome designs.
This past Saturday we were asked to document the room and details of the gorgeous floral decorations Events in Bloom put together for a Bar Mitzvah at the Houstonian. This was definitely a party this young man and his family will remember for years to come.
Priscila & Jerry were married this past Saturday in a traditional Catholic ceremony at the Holy Rosary Church in Midtown with a reception following at the Manor House at the Houstonian. Priscila is originally from Rio de Janeiro and moved to the states to attend college. Jerry is from El Paso and is a cardiologist at Methodist Hospital. The happy couple will reside in Houston. Florals and decorations provided by Wedding Flowers by Lisa.
Jennifer and James were wed this Saturday in the chapel of St Luke's Methodist Church. The couple first met while attending American University. The reception followed at the Houstonian Hotel with entertainment provided by Impressive Events and the cake by Susie's Cakes. Following a honeymoon in Hawaii the couple will reside in Houston
Well after several attempts we were finally able to photograph James and Jenn. Their wedding was quickly approaching and due to inclement weather we had to reschedule three or four times. The couple really wanted to work with the fantastic tree at the Houstonian which is only lit between Thanksgiving and New Years.
