This morning we were invited to take photos at an intimate breakfast at the Intercontinental Hotel featuring guest speaker Cal Ripken, Jr. Each guest had the opportunity to have a photo made with the legend. Upon completion, Cal commented on how efficient we were and that we should go on the road with him. We imagine he has worked with all types of photographers and we certainly appreciated his praise. Helms-Briscoe held their annual conference in Houston this year. The events took place at the Hobby Center, The Crystal Ballroom and the Intercontinental Hotel Houston, as well as on the streets of downtown. There was much entertainment, including music by Rotel and the Hot Tomatoes as well as a few other fabulous bands and entertainers. There was also Speed Painting, a Chinese Dragon Dance and a crazy game of volleyball with multiple balls and many blow up toys being tossed over the net.
