Meghan and Matt were married this past Saturday at St. Anne's Catholic Church with an early evening reception following at River Oaks Country Club.
The bride wore her grandmother's dress (which her mother also wore on her wedding day) and altered it to update and fit herself. It really was gorgeous. Floral arrangements, bouquets and lounge furniture provided by Events in Bloom while the cakes were created by Who Made the Cake!
The couple first met while both were students at Episcopal High School, where Meghan now teaches Math, and they are still going strong!

Once again we have had to keep these under wraps until the wedding. While we had a few hurdles to cross during the session due to the club double booking bridal sessions and several other repairs that were going on simultaneously. We certainly made the best out of the situation and in the end it all worked out.
We photographed Meghan at River Oaks Country Club which is also where her reception is going to be held. She chose to wear her grandmother's gorgeous wedding gown which she lengthened slightly as well as altered the sleeves to better fit her style. Her bouquet was provided by Events in Bloom.

This past Sunday we participated in the Weddings in Houston, Before You Say "I Do!" Bridal Soiree. We usually set up a table with prints and albums, but since this is the only show we usually do, we wanted to set up something a little special. We enlisted the help of Rob and Jesus from Events in Bloom. We figured that since they design some of the most awesome weddings and events in town, they would do a way better job of putting together a booth for us than we would! We met so many awesome potential customers at the show, I cant wait to talk to them more in the near future about their weddings.
Also featured on this post are some of EIB's display as well as cakes by Bobbie's Cake Creations and a tablescape by Dream Bouquet that features white tulips, gladiolas and royal blue linens.

Stacey and James were married this past Saturday at Christ Church Cathedral downtown with a reception following at the Hotel Icon. These guys are such a fun couple and we have had an amazing time working with them these past few months. Laura got to go to Round Top and Blanco to do Stacey's bridal and their engagement session and it has been fun getting to know them better.
We started our coverage over at the Icon, in the penthouse suite. It has a lot more room and light than a regular bridal room at a church so we got some wonderful photos there. We then headed over to the church for the ceremony and after we went a few blocks over to the Icon. The guests ate chic comfort food, cake and enjoyed cocktails and Black Cows (otherwise known as root beer floats). Music was provided by the El Orbits, who are awesome. They play Monday nights at the Continental Club, you should go see them! There was also a special cake and song for Stacey's grandmother who was celebrating her 90th birthday that evening as well. Laura first met Clara through a friend when she was looking to have maternity portraits done a few years back. We also created some newborn photos of baby Michael as well. Then Clara and Ian moved overseas for a while. We received a call from them a few weeks ago, that they were about ready to have another baby and would like another maternity session, so we were happy to oblige. Can't wait to see the new baby!
Once again Laura got the opportunity to travel to Round Top, TX to create these wonderful bridal portraits for Stacey at Festival Hill . We had to hold off on sharing these till the wedding so feel free to enjoy!

The Houston Chapter of the National Association of Catering Executives (NACE) honored David Jones last week during it's annual awards presentation at the Crowne Plaza Hotel - Medical Center. The award was presented by last year's winner, Jason Bailey with The Downtown Club at the Met.
This award recognizes the chapter member whose commitment to the Houston community personifies the ideals of humanitarianism. Candidates should also be a member of NACE in good standing.
Jaclyn and Jonathan were married this past Sunday at a ceremony held at the Corinthian. This is such a great space because it easily transitions to a great reception facility. The couple were originally going to be married at Disney, as they are both big fans, but logistically speaking, the Corinthian was much easier for the amount of family and friends they wanted to share their day with. Also the service and food provided by Jackson and Company cannot be compared, as it is out of this world!
The ceremony itself was just beautiful and the setting was amazingly decorated with red and white roses and lilies and crystal centerpieces. The couple looked gorgeous for their big day and Jaclyn's ball gown made her look like a princess. They couple first met while in high school in the Woodlands. He asked her to the prom and they have been inseparable for six years now!
Music and entertainment was provided by the ever energetic Damon Pampolina of PRP Entertainment (another Disney connection, he used to be a Mouseketeer!). This guy is amazing at getting the party going! Bride and Groom's cakes provided by Who Made the Cake! and videography services by Sam's Digital Productions.
The couple will reside in Houston after they return from their tropical honeymoon in St. Lucia.
