Kristen and Paul were married this past Saturday at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with a reception following at the Petroleum Club of Houston. St. Paul's is very special to their family as both of their parents were married there, and coincidentally, it was during the same summer. Their story started when they met at Lanier Middle School, then they both went on to Bellaire High School (where they started dating) then on to Texas A&M University. Florals were provided by Wedding Flowers by LIsa and linens courtesy of The Linen House. Don't miss the detail of the groom's truck cake by Cakes by Gina. The happy couple will reside in Houston after they return from the Maui honeymoon.

Last Friday Jeremie Millwee of the Petroleum Club of Houston asked David to come out and photograph. The club has trusted us in the past for many of their advertising image needs and we are always happy to accommodate them. They truly have one of the best views of the downtown skyline and we love working with Jeremie and her wonderful staff.
First of all they needed to have professional images made for some of their recently updated private function rooms. As they look completely different during the day versus nighttime we decided to capture them both ways. While waiting for night to come we were also presented with some of their chef's creations for samples to show off prospective clients. Man was Dave getting hungry at this point. Also planned in conjunction with our job was a members wine tasting dinner which David captured some candids of. Finally as night fell, David was able to finish up with some of the room shots in all their nighttime splendor. Enjoy!

We covered Cicely and LonDee's wedding this past weekend. The ceremony was held at First Presbyterian Houston with the reception following at the Petroleum Club of Houston which has some of the best views of downtown as it is on the 43rd floor of the Exxon building. This was such a fun and lively wedding and was beautifully decorated with florals by Events in Bloom, linens and chair covers provided by The Linen House and an ice bar and specialty drink ice station from Ice Designs.
The couple met at Sky Bar, so they had one of the house bands play, which was quite significant to them. Melanie Covington's band was fantastic, and boy could the couple (and petty much all of their guests) dance! At one point the multi-talented bride got up on stage and played drums!
The bride's wedding gown was designed by Vera Wang and she had gorgeous, pink Christian Louboutin shoes. The guests were treated to a steak and lobster dinner and in addition to wedding cake by Susie's Cakes, the guests were served a flaming dessert course.
This was truly a first class wedding, with so many little details that made the whole thing come together perfectly. Cecily and LonDee will reside in Houston after they return from their honeymoon in Aruba.

Lisa and Ryan were married this past Saturday at Grace Presbyterian Church with a reception following at the Petroleum Club of Houston. They met while both attending TCU were such a fun couple to work with and the wedding had so many unique touches. The bride wore baby blue Stuart Weitzman shoes and the groom had custom monogrammed boots made for the occasion. The guests enjoyed a buffet with a variety of foods, including gumbo, spring rolls, sushi and miniature grilled cheese sandwiches. Music for the lavish affair was provided by The Pictures from Austin. This wedding band was a cut above, playing everything from motown, standards and swing to the cupid shuffle. One of the singers was just uncanny in his ability to impersonate Neil Diamond! At the end of the night the couple were seen off in a shower of rose petals and then whisked away in a chauffeur driven antique Rolls Royce.

This weekend we covered Jennifer and Chris's wedding. The couple had an evening wedding at St. Paul's United Methodist Church with a wonderful reception following at the Petroleum Club of Houston. The view from this club is always amazing as it is one of the few downtown buildings that is not completely surrounded. Chris was enthralled by the size and detail of his groom's cake created by Who Made the Cake! It was a replica of the Piper Cub that he received his pilots license in, not to mention his first emergency landing. As you can tell it certainly was a festive group. The couple flew out to Hawaii the next day for their honeymoon.

We recently covered the PeruPetro luncheon at the Petroleum Club downtown. The luncheon was held in conjunction with the NAPE expo. The expo is a marketplace for buying and selling oil and gas products and attracts something like 15,000 attendents each year. This was our second time covering the annual event.
